Who is Juzang?

Sometimes you find an unquestionable anointing of the gift of music and performance. Couple that with the desire and passion to serve and praise God to the fullest and uplift the Name of Jesus, and you’ve got the key ingredients to what makes contemporary Gospel/Christian recording artists, Guielle Juzang, Patria Juzang, and Marisa Juzang, such an awesome singing group! They have that ‘sibling blend’ that comes with common blood…but they are daughters of the King and covered in His Royal Blood which gives extraordinary power to every note sung and every word uttered!

The sister trio, JUZANG, answered that all too familiar call on their lives to praise God through soulful music that has always been a part of their family roots through their grandfather who for more than 40 years sang, played multiple instruments, wrote and rearranged Gospel quartet music and shared stages with renowned quartet groups like the Mighty Clouds of Joy and Jackson Southernaires. The roots ran even deeper when their cousins who were known as the popular 1930’s group, ‘The Pope Sisters’ , opened doors for black female groups like the Supremes, by singing in movies, on Broadway and on stage with Duke Ellington and Billie Holiday. Little did these forerunners know that generations later their legacy would continue through their blood by JUZANG, a French name that has been traced back to over a thousand years and according to the family’s coat of arms means “gracious and ambitious.”

With music in their blood and born to sing, JUZANG has completed 3 CD projects and charted # 96 on the Nielsen Gospel Billboards. They also  performed not only at churches, concerts, for movie soundtracks and for a Nissan FIAT commercial, but also for special events to include President Barack Obama’s 2012 Democratic National Convention Gala, distinguished military events in the presence of four-star generals, various televised programs that include the internationally known Bobby Jones Gospel Show, and for an NBA New York Knicks game at the Madison Square Garden. JUZANG has shared stages with Grammy, Stellar, and Dove winning recording artists such as Jonathan McReynolds, Richard Smallwood, and Marvin Sapp, to name a few. The popular sister trio is also an internet sensation where two of their most popular YouTube covered songs have exceeded multi-million views and rave reviews emerged from some of the major players in the Gospel Industry, namely Kirk Franklin, Mary-Mary, Donnie McClurkin and Donald Lawrence.

One of JUZANG’s greatest moments during their singing career is when they were asked to sing for two evangelistic meetings where their music assisted in motivating approximately 78 youth to accept the call to be baptized.   JUZANG has also raised through their 501(c)(3) Kidz 4 Kidz, Inc. over $11,000 for medically challenged and abused children.
